This type of mold has a dark color

PENICILLIUM

This mold is especially important for the environment, however, they can still cause harm in the air that we breathe. Some sub-species of Penicillium are known to produce mycotoxins, which have been linked to various cancers in humans as well as damage to the Kidney. But Penicillium isn’t all that bad, in fact, it is the first ever mold to ever produce an antibiotic called the penicillin.
